Andrey Korytov is Professor of Physics at the University of Florida. A key contributor to the CMS experiment at CERN, he co-led the Higgs boson discovery (2012) and precision measurements of its properties. His research focuses on particle physics beyond the Standard Model.
Leadership Roles: Served as Higgs Physics Analysis Group convener (2009-2010) and Higgs Combination Group convener (2011-2012) for CMS Collaboration. Designed and built the CMS Endcap Muon System, a critical detector component.
Honors: Fellow of American Physical Society, IEEE, and IFAC. Awarded University of Florida Research Foundation Professorship for distinguished scholarship. Invited speaker at 50+ international conferences including EPS Conference on High Energy Physics and Lake Louise Winter Institute.
