Dr Andrew Wilson is a Senior Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Queensland's School of Architecture, Design and Planning, within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology. He holds a Master of Architecture (Research by Design) from RMIT University (2001) and a PhD from The University of Queensland (2015). His research focuses on Research by Design, post-war Queensland architectural practices, urban design, and international cultural exchange in the Asia-Pacific region.
Education: Bachelor of Architecture (Honours, University of Melbourne), Master of Architecture (Research by Design, RMIT), PhD (University of Queensland). He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and a member of the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE).
Research Interests: Wilson explores architecture as an open question, urban and social spaces, and regional architectural scales. He has contributed to the ARC Linkage Grant project on post-war Queensland architectural practices (1945–1975) and curated exhibitions including 'Recollecting Home' at the State Library of Queensland. His work has been featured at the Venice Biennale and in journals like Casabella and Architecture Australia.
