Andrew Whiting

Andrew Whiting is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Law and Criminology at Royal Holloway, University of London. His academic background includes a PhD in Politics and International Relations (Swansea University), a PGCert in Teaching in Higher Education (Birmingham City University), and undergraduate/graduate degrees in Politics and Global Security from the University of Sheffield. His research focuses on security policy, international relations, and counter-radicalisation strategies. Recent work examines the Prevent Duty in UK higher education, ideological aspects of counter-terrorism policies, and the role of media in shaping terrorism discourse.
