Andrew Whitehouse

Andrew Whitehouse is the Angela Wright Bennett Professor of Autism Research at the Telethon Kids Institute and Clinical Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Australia (UWA). He leads CliniKids, a clinical-research center integrating research into clinical practice for children with developmental disorders. His roles include Research Strategy Director at Autism CRC and Board Member of Autism Awareness Australia and Ocean Heroes. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology (UWA, 2006) and a BSc (Hons) in Speech Pathology (Curtin University, 2002).

His research focuses on autism interventions, diagnostics, and policy. Notable contributions include developing Australia’s first national guidelines for autism diagnosis and therapies, leading the Australian Autism Biobank, and pioneering the iBASIS-Inklings pre-diagnostic therapy. He communicates science through his '60 Second Science' web series and over 75 articles for The Conversation.
