Andrew Tholl is a Continuing Lecturer in Composition at the University of California, Santa Barbara's Department of Music. He also teaches at Ventura College and Pasadena Waldorf High School. A Los Angeles-based composer, violinist, drummer, and improviser, his work explores themes like the passage of time, physicality of music-making, noise, nostalgia, and interdisciplinary synthesis. His compositions have been performed globally by ensembles including wild Up, Formalist Quartet, and at venues like Walt Disney Concert Hall and REDCAT.
