Andrew Testa is an Associate Professor in Visual Arts at the School of Fine Arts, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. His practice-based research explores the concept of being 'printerly' through material engagement and community collaborations.
Research focuses on:
- Agency of materials and non-human elements in art
- Community-engaged printmaking practices
- Ethics of artistic responsibility
- Accessibility and knowledge-sharing in creative processes
His exhibitions span Canada and internationally, including solo shows at Tina Dolter Gallery (2025) and juried exhibitions like SGC International (2019-2021). Recent projects like 'Printshop in Tow' (SSHRC Explore 2023) and 'Art and Labor in Port Union' (2023) demonstrate cross-disciplinary collaboration.
