Andrew T. Simms, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine's Division of Infectious Diseases at Rush Medical College. He holds roles as Associate Program Director of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program and Subspecialty Education Coordinator within the Department of Internal Medicine. His clinical expertise focuses on antibiotic resistance, HIV infection, lung diseases, and neurological infections.
Dr. Simms completed his medical degree at Rush University Medical College, followed by residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Disease, both at Rush University Medical Center. He is actively involved in clinician education and directs the Infectious Diseases Grand Rounds course.
