She is a board-certified specialist in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases with extensive clinical and research experience focused on infections in transplant recipients.
Dr. Clauss completed her medical education at MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine in 2002, followed by residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Temple University Hospital in 2005 and 2008, respectively. Her work bridges clinical care with epidemiological research to improve outcomes for transplant patients.
Dr. Clauss's publication record demonstrates a consistent focus on transplant infectious diseases, with recent work examining daptomycin-resistant enterococcus bacteremia in liver transplant patients, risk factors for multidrug-resistant organisms among deceased donors, and infectious complications in lung transplant recipients. Her research spans both clinical investigations and educational aspects of infectious disease fellowship training.
