Dr. Andrew Reddie is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Cybersecurity at the University of California, Berkeley’s School of Information and Deputy Director of the Berkeley APEC Study Center. He specializes in cybersecurity, nuclear weapons policy, wargaming, and emerging military technologies. His research examines strategic competition in technology sectors, economic statecraft, and their implications for global security frameworks.
Affiliations include leadership roles at UC Berkeley’s Center for Security in Politics, Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity, and the University of California’s Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation. He also directs the Berkeley Risk and Security Lab and serves as campus lead for the Disaster Resilience Network.
His work bridges academia and policy, addressing challenges like cyber industrial policy, hypersonic weapons dynamics, and the impact of economic statecraft on international institutions.
