Andrew Orr is a Professor of History and Director of the Institute for Military History at Kansas State University. His expertise spans modern military history, focusing on identity, conflict, civil-military relations, and gender studies, with a regional emphasis on France and the U.S. He holds degrees from Claremont Mckenna College (B.A.) and the University of Notre Dame (M.A., Ph.D.).
