Associate Professor Andrew O'Regan is a Senior Lecturer in General Practice at the University of Limerick School of Medicine and a practicing General Practitioner in Killarney, Co. Kerry. He holds concurrent appointments at the Health Research Institute and the Physical Activity for Health Research Centre. His research focuses on chronic disease management, patient engagement in healthcare systems, and innovations in medical education, particularly expanding training in community settings. He received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2011 and has led numerous studies on physical activity interventions for older adults and healthcare system integration.
Education Background: Medical training culminating in appointment as Senior Lecturer (2014). Prior roles include researcher and clinical skills tutor at the University of Limerick School of Medicine.
