معرفی
Dr. Andrew N. Bustard serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering within the College of Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His expertise centers on experimental hypersonics and advanced fluid dynamics measurement methodologies for high-speed flight applications.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, University of Notre Dame (2025)
- M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, University of Notre Dame
- B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science, University of Toronto (2019)
Dr. Bustard's research program targets revolutionary advancements in scramjet technology through high-fidelity surface measurement techniques that overcome limitations of conventional instrumentation. His work enables detailed analysis of transient hypersonic flow phenomena critical for extending operational envelopes. Complementary research includes boundary-layer transition studies, hypersonic facility development, and flow control strategies aimed at making practical global high-speed transportation feasible within hours rather than hours.
He teaches foundational aerodynamics coursework including AE 319: Aerodynamics, translating cutting-edge research insights into student curriculum while maintaining active research through his ORCID profile (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4534-1127).
