Tom Corke is the Clark Equipment Professor of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Hypersonic Systems Initiative at the University of Notre Dame. He has been affiliated with the university since 1999. His expertise spans fluid dynamics, turbulence, and aerodynamics, with applications in aerospace engineering, gas-turbine systems, and environmental flows.
Corke earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1981. His research focuses on hydrodynamic stability, transition to turbulence, boundary layer flows, and computational fluid dynamics.
