Andrew Moran is an Associate Professor and Chair of the English Department at the University of Dallas. He holds a PhD from the Institute of Philosophic Studies at the University of Dallas, following a B.A. (University of Dallas) and M.A. (College of William and Mary). His research focuses on Shakespeare, Ben Jonson, and Evelyn Waugh, with particular attention to early modern drama, Renaissance literature, and theological themes in literature.
- Teaches courses including Literary Tradition I-IV, Shakespeare, Dante, and Waugh and the Post-War West
- Recipient of the 2015 Ben Jonson Discoveries Award for his article on Bartholomew Fair
- Edited Due Santi and the University of Dallas: Un Piccolo Paradiso (2020)
His publications analyze intersections between religion, politics, and literary form in works by Shakespeare, Jonson, and Waugh, often highlighting symbolic language and historical contexts. Recent articles explore Dantean influences in Milton and Waugh's response to Joyce.
