Dr. Andrew McKendry is an Associate Professor of English Literature at Nord University, leading the Humanities, Education & Culture Research Group. He holds a PhD from Queen’s University (Canada) and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Yale and McMaster Universities. His research focuses on 17th- and 18th-century British literature, particularly disability studies, religious dissent, and the conceptual history of justice. He teaches courses on environmental catastrophe, literary theory, and British literature. Key publications include Disavowing Disability (Cambridge, 2021) and numerous articles in journals like Eighteenth-Century Studies and Studies in Romanticism. Awards include the Maximillian E. Novak Prize and Canada Banting Fellowship. He supervises graduate students in English literature and teacher education programs.
