Andrew Levin is a Professor of Economics at Dartmouth College. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University (1989) and a B.A. from Yale University (1984). His research focuses on monetary policy, central banking, and public health economics, with notable contributions to inflation targeting, digital currencies, and pandemic modeling. He has advised numerous central banks globally, including the IMF, European Central Bank, and Bank of Korea.
Levin served at the Federal Reserve Board for two decades, including roles as a special adviser on monetary policy strategy and communications. He has been a visiting scholar at institutions like the Bank of Canada and the IMF. His work bridges academic research with policy implementation, emphasizing accountability in central banking and pandemic response strategies.
