Andrew Jaeger

Andrew Jaeger serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Benedictine College, specializing in metaphysical and theological inquiry with emphasis on Platonic traditions and literary-philosophical intersections like Dostoevsky's works.

His academic journey includes B.A. degrees in Theology and Philosophy from Benedictine College (2008), followed by M.A. (2010) and Ph.D. (2014) in Philosophy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Research interests span Metaphysics, Theology, Philosophy of Religion, Platonic Philosophy, and Literary Philosophy, evidenced by publications in journals such as Communio: International Catholic Review, American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly, Journal of Analytic Theology, and Res Philosophica.

He earned the Rising Scholar award in 2013 from the American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly for his paper "Back to the Primitive: From Substantial Capacities to Prime Matter".

Dr. Jaeger is actively developing two major scholarly works: "Hymns from the Underground: Metaphysical Reflections on the Brothers Karamazov" and "Platonic Recollections: Logical, Metaphysical, Theological", reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to philosophy and literature.
