Andrew Gilliatt

Andrew Gilliatt is an Associate Teaching Professor in Ceramics at the School of Art, Bowling Green State University (BGSU), where he has taught since 2015. His work bridges artistic practice and material culture, focusing on domestic objects as expressions of identity and emotion.

Gilliatt’s artistic research centers on creating ceramics that explore how everyday objects reflect personal and collective aesthetics. His practice investigates the psychological and social dynamics of consumer choices, emphasizing form, color, and imagery as tools for emotional connection. His work has been exhibited nationally and featured in publications like American Craft and Ceramics Monthly.
