Andrew Garvie

Andrew Garvie is a Research Fellow in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Monash University. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of epigenetic regulation, chromatin dynamics, and nuclear organization with direct implications for genetic disorders and cancer pathogenesis.

His primary research interests include epigenetics, chromatin biology, and cancer molecular genetics, with specific expertise in histone modifications, heterochromatin formation, and nuclear body dysfunction. Current work investigates disease mechanisms in pediatric gliomas (particularly H3.3 K27M/G34R mutations), ATR-X syndrome, and B-cell immunology through advanced imaging and molecular techniques.
