Dr. Andrew Cohen is a Professor in Imperial History at the University of Kent, affiliated with the Rutherford College and the Centre for the History of Colonialisms. He holds a research fellowship at the University of the Free State, South Africa. His academic journey includes a BA and PhD from the University of Sheffield and an MSt from the University of Oxford. Cohen specializes in British Empire history, focusing on multinational business strategies during Africa's transition from colonial to post-colonial rule. His research explores corporate adaptation to political changes in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in the late 20th century.
