Dr. Andrew Claus is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. His research focuses on clinical outcomes, pain management, and spinal biomechanics, particularly in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and persistent pain conditions. He leads research at the Tess Cramond Pain and Research Centre, collaborating with institutions like Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the Institute of Urban Indigenous Health. His work spans clinical trials, Indigenous health interventions, and pain education chatbots.

Grants include development of small nerve fibre pathology markers in chronic pain and studies on Indigenous healthcare communication (Yarning programs).
He collaborates with QUT's Biomechanics Group, UQ's Motor Control and Pain Lab, and Curtin University's Raine Cohort Study. Current roles include co-leading annual pain medicine trainee projects and student placements.
