Andrew Blagborough

Dr. Andrew Blagborough is an Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences at Imperial College London, Faculty of Natural Sciences. His research focuses on malaria transmission-blocking interventions (TBIs), vaccine development, and parasite biology in Plasmodium species. He leads a research group as a Principal Investigator, exploring novel anti-malarial targets and assessing TBI efficacy in laboratory and field settings.

• Education: PhD in Molecular Parasitology (University of Manchester, 2006); MSc/Biochemistry (UMIST, 2001)

Research interests include folate biosynthesis in Plasmodium falciparum, mosquito-parasite interactions, and vaccine delivery systems. He collaborates with the Sinden lab and affiliated networks like the Imperial College Network of Excellence in Malaria and the Vaccine Research Network.
