Andrej Svorenčík is a Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Economics and a member of the Penn Initiative for the Study of Markets. He is also affiliated with the Walras-Pareto Centre at the University of Lausanne and has held research positions at the University of Mannheim, Duke University, and the Hoover Institution. His academic journey includes a PhD from the University of Utrecht and a habilitation from the University of Mannheim.

His work blends historical depth with quantitative and digital humanities methods, offering novel insights into the profession’s development.

He maintains active involvement in the Prosopography Network and has compiled a comprehensive list of experimental economics laboratories worldwide.
