Andrej Corovic

Dr. Andrej Corovic is a Clinical Career Development Fellow and Director of Studies in Pre-Clinical Medicine at Robinson College, University of Cambridge. He conducts research in the Section of CardioRespiratory Medicine at the Heart and Lung Research Institute, focusing on macrophage-driven inflammation in cardiovascular diseases using 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/MRI.

• Education: BA (Hons) and MA (Cantab.) in Natural Sciences, MB BChir in Clinical Medicine, PhD from the University of Cambridge; MRCP (Lond.)

His research explores inflammation in myocardial infarction, atherosclerosis, and large vessel vasculitis, with a focus on adverse cardiac remodeling. He integrates PET/MRI imaging with immunophenotyping to uncover disease mechanisms and prognosis.

The 15 most recent publications highlight trends in cardiovascular inflammation imaging, machine learning applications for predicting vascular disease, and adipose tissue as a biomarker in transplantation outcomes. His work spans both clinical and translational research.
