Andreas Nyblom is an Associate Professor and Docent at Linköping University, affiliated with the Department of Culture and Society (IKOS) under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FILFAK). He holds a dual role as a Senior Lecturer in Literature and Associate Professor in Media History. His research focuses on the intersection of cultural studies, media history, and archaeogenetics, examining how cultural expressions and scientific knowledge are interpreted in public contexts.
His current research projects include Writing in Transit (funded by VR 2018), which explores spatial connotations in contemporary literature and transit spaces like airports and trains, and Code, Narrative, History (RJ 2018), analyzing how ancient DNA findings are translated into historical narratives across nations. These projects highlight his expertise in cultural and scientific discourse analysis.
Dr. Nyblom's work bridges humanities and natural sciences, addressing themes such as mobility, public engagement with science, and the societal impact of genetic research. He is part of the Language and Culture research environment and contributes to teaching in the Division of Communication, Literature and Swedish (KLS).
