Dr. Andreas Lingg is a Researcher at the University of Witten/Herdecke, holding multiple positions including Research Associate at WittenLab. Future Lab for Fundamental Studies, Project Manager at the University Teaching and Research Platform sieben:viertel, and Member of the Board of Directors at the International Center for Sustainable and Just Transformation (tra:ce). He also serves as a Fellow at the Centre for Global Cooperation Research, University of Duisburg-Essen, and was recently appointed as Kenneth E. Boulding Fellow at the University of Mannheim.
His educational background includes a Master's degree in Philosophy of Science and Technology from TU Munich (2013-2016) and a Bachelor's degree in Public Management and Governance from Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen (2009-2013), with a research semester at Humboldt University Berlin.
Lingg's research focuses on the philosophy and history of knowledge in economics and political economy, particularly examining the interplay between spatial concepts and economic processes during the early modern era. His work explores the emergence of growth concepts, infinity notions in mining and crafts industries, methodological debates in early economic theory, and early environmental sustainability discussions.
