Prof. Andreas Fuchs is a Professor of Development Economics at the University of Göttingen, directing the Centre for Modern East Asian Studies (CeMEAS) and the Ibero-America Institute for Economic Research. He also serves as a researcher at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and leads its China Initiative. His research focuses on trade, investment, and development policies, particularly in China and emerging economies, alongside the political economy of natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
