Frauke Steglich is a Research Fellow at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and the Kiel Centre for Globalization (KCG). She co-hosts the Research Network Sustainable Global Supply Chains and previously served as Managing Director of the Poverty Reduction, Equity and Growth Network (PEGNet) (2020–2022). She is a doctoral candidate in Quantitative Economics at Kiel University, with a Master’s in Economics from the same institution.

Research Interests
Her work focuses on global value chains, foreign direct investment, and corporate social responsibility, with an emphasis on their social and environmental impacts in Sub-Saharan Africa and India. She employs microeconometric methods to analyze firm-level data, exploring how corporate governance and globalization influence regional development. Recent studies include CSR investments in global supply chains and the effects of EU due diligence legislation on SMEs.
