Andreas Erich Wald

Andreas Erich Wald is a Professor of Strategy at the School of Business and Law, University of Agder. He holds a Master’s and PhD in Political Science and Business Administration from the University of Mannheim, followed by a Habilitation (venia legendi) in Business Administration from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht (Germany). His research focuses on temporary organizations, entrepreneurship, management control, and innovation. He has authored/co-authored numerous books and articles in top-tier journals. Previously, Wald served as Assistant Professor at EBS University, Dean of Research at European Business School Paris, and Director of Studies at EBS. He teaches strategy and international management at undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses like ORG449 Strategy and ME-302 Bachelor Thesis.

Research Interests: His work explores projectification, crowdfunding dynamics, management control systems, and the impact of temporary organizations on innovation. Recent studies include the role of psychological capital in mitigating project work stress and the evolution of projectification across Germany, Norway, and Iceland. He also investigates cultural intelligence’s role in SME internationalization and digital transformation in construction client organizations.

Publications: Over 100 articles in journals like International Journal of Project Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and Management International Review. Themes include equity investor decision-making, process control systems, and crowdfunding loyalty dynamics. His work bridges strategic management theory with practical organizational challenges.

Labs/Teams: Engaged in cross-disciplinary collaborations on projectification, digital transformation, and entrepreneurial ecosystems through the Department of Management and Innovation at UiA.
