Andreas Brandsæter

Andreas Brandsæter is an Associate Professor at the Department of ICT and Natural Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and holds a part-time position at Volda University College. His research bridges artificial intelligence, maritime technology, and mathematics education.

Key interests include statistical modeling, explainable AI (XAI), and integrating programming into mathematical learning. He explores how clusters in training data affect AI predictions and develops simulator-based frameworks for testing autonomous ship navigation.
