معرفی
Andreas Åkerlund is a Professor and Head of the Department of History and Contemporary Studies at Södertörn University. His academic trajectory includes an MA in Religious Studies, Modern History, and Sociology from Freie Universität Berlin (2004), a PhD in History from Uppsala University (2011), and promotion to Associate Professor of History at Uppsala University (2016).
Research Interests: Åkerlund's work centers on three interconnected themes: (1) Public diplomacy, academic mobility, and the globalization of higher education; (2) Historical Swedish-German academic networks, language education abroad, and Scandinavian studies; and (3) German university systems and scientific communities under National Socialist rule.
Publication Trends: His 13 most recent publications (2006–2016) demonstrate consistent focus on cultural transfer mechanisms between Sweden and Germany, state-sponsored educational programs, and the politicization of academia in 20th-century Europe. Key thematic clusters include cultural diplomacy during the interwar/Cold War periods, welfare state development, and ideological influences on scholarship.
