Andrea Skyberg is an Associate Professor and director of the Art Education/Art Therapy program at Alverno College, where she also serves as the assessment coordinator for the Art Department. She teaches studio arts and art education courses while collaborating on experiential learning and community engagement initiatives.

Her research focuses on:
- Integrating adaptive and therapeutic art practices into education
- Experiential learning through curatorial and community projects
- Artistic activism in educational contexts
- Interdisciplinary approaches to PreK-12 art curriculum
Andrea has received recognition for her work, including:
- Moonbeam Gold Medal for her children's book Squircle
She also leads professional development workshops for educators on arts integration and has published award-winning children's literature. Additionally, she co-founded the all-female folk-rock band Bourbon in the Basement.
