Andrea Sironi is a Full Professor of Finance and currently serves as President of Bocconi University in Milan. His career includes leadership roles such as Rector (2012-2016), Vice-Rector for International Relations, Dean of the Graduate School, and President of CEMS. He holds significant external appointments, including President of Assicurazioni Generali (since 2022) and the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research (since 2021).
His research focuses on risk measurement and management in financial institutions and the regulation of financial markets. He has contributed extensively to academic and industry literature, particularly on banking challenges and SME financing.
Key affiliations include the London Stock Exchange Group (2020), Intesa SanPaolo (2022), and Unicredit Group. He has been a visiting scholar at NYU Stern and Sciences Po, Paris.
