Andrea Righi is a Professor in the Department of European Languages at Monash University, Faculty of Arts. He holds academic training from the University of Bologna, Complutense University of Madrid, and Cornell University, and has held academic positions at the University of Puerto Rico, Colorado College, Miami University, and served as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Macerata. He is actively engaged in research and supervision, welcoming PhD students in interdisciplinary fields.
His research spans Cultural Theory, Continental Philosophy, Gender Studies, Italian Literature, Political Thought, and Digital Studies. He critically examines the intersections between philosophy, literature, and socio-political structures, with a focus on thinkers such as Agamben, Derrida, Foucault, Irigaray, Negri, and Pasolini. His recent work explores digitality, the Anthropocene, and the theological underpinnings of neoliberalism.
Andrea Righi’s publications reflect a consistent engagement with philosophical ontology, feminist theory, media critique, and political economy. His recent articles and book analyze themes of eternity, salvation, digital alienation, and the critique of patriarchal and capitalist structures.
