Dr. Andrea P Beam is a Residential Adjunct Faculty member in the School of Education at Liberty University. With over 25 years of combined K-12 teaching, administrative leadership, and higher education experience, she specializes in educational leadership and special education administration. Her career trajectory includes roles as an Assistant Principal at both elementary and high school levels, notably at Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
Dr. Beam has held academic positions at The George Washington University, Averett University, Norfolk State University, and Regent University, where she served as a full-time Assistant Professor. She transitioned to Liberty University as an Assistant Professor before assuming her current adjunct role. Her research focuses on school law, novice principal challenges, professionalism in education, and leadership development.
Recognized for her contributions, she was a finalist for Assistant Principal of the Year and featured in prestigious 'Who’s Who' publications. Her 32+ research outputs include books, peer-reviewed articles, and conference presentations addressing critical issues in educational leadership and policy.
