Andrea Nedergaard Jensen is a PhD student and Researcher at the Department of Public Health, Section of Health Services Research, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, with additional affiliation at Medical Museion. Her research focuses on aging populations and healthcare provision systems.
Her primary research interests include person-centered care, social inequality, user engagement, epidemiology, qualitative ethnographic fieldwork, narrative approaches, mixed-methods studies, intervention studies, and co-creation. Andrea leads significant projects including 'Low Literacy at Play - LOLit' (examining meaningful approaches for elderly with low health literacy through co-creation), 'Patientcenterede behandlingsforløb for patienter med nyresygdom' (qualitative study on patient involvement in renal disease treatment), and 'Erhvervsfyrtårn Life Science - Sund Vægt' (public-private innovation frameworks for health challenges).
Her scholarly output demonstrates expertise across gerontology, public health, and health services research, with particular emphasis on visual impairment in older adults, person-centered care models, and health equity strategies. Andrea serves as teaching assistant for 'External Partnerships' course for master's students at University of Copenhagen and previously worked as Research Assistant at Copenhagen University Hospital (2019-2020).
