Andrea Manni

Dr. Andrea Manni is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine and serves as Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Penn State Cancer Institute. With a career spanning over four decades since joining the faculty in 1982, he has established himself as a leading expert in endocrinology and breast cancer research.

His work has been groundbreaking in demonstrating the antitumor activity of Tamoxifen in hormone-responsive breast cancer. More recently, his research has centered on breast cancer prevention through dietary interventions with omega-3 fatty acids, particularly docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which shows promise in reducing breast cancer risk in obese postmenopausal women.
