Andrea Leap

Andrea Leap serves as Adjunct Faculty in Voice at the University of St. Thomas within the College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Music, while maintaining concurrent faculty positions at MacPhail Center for Music where she teaches voice and music appreciation. A professional teaching artist with extensive performance experience, she actively advocates for new music through collaborations with Nautilus Music-Theater, American Composers Forum, and Outpost Words and Music.

Her academic credentials include:

• Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Indiana University
• Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature (minor in German) from Indiana University
• Post-graduate studies in Paris, France

Leap's research specializes in historically significant vocal repertoires, particularly cabaret music of the 1920s-1930s and Baroque Era compositions, with dedicated scholarship on works by Marianna Martinez and Maria Theresa Agnesi Pinottini. Her performance practice integrates historical authenticity with contemporary educational approaches.
