Andrea L Rosso is an Associate Professor in Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh, where she leads the Brain, Environment, Aging, and Mobility (BEAM) Lab. Her research focuses on environmental and social determinants of mobility and cognitive function in older adults.
- Education: BS in Biology (2001), MPH (2007), PhD in Epidemiology (2012), Post-doctoral training at University of Pittsburgh (2014)
Research Interests include:
- Neighborhood walkability and physical/social capital effects on aging
- GPS-based community mobility assessment
- Mobility-cognition interactions and dementia risk
- Neuroimaging (fNIRS) during dual-task walking
- Stress burden in Black American cognitive outcomes
Recent Publication Trends emphasize urban health metrics, cognitive resilience, and neuroimaging in mobility studies.
