Andrea June

Andrea June serves as Professor of Psychological Science and Gerontology Program Coordinator at Central Connecticut State University, overseeing undergraduate gerontology programs and Age-Friendly University initiatives. Her academic leadership spans teaching aging/mental health courses at undergraduate and graduate levels while driving institutional age-inclusivity efforts.

With a PhD in Clinical Psychology specializing in Geropsychology, her research critically examines aging populations through dual lenses of psychological wellbeing and systemic age-inclusivity. Her scholarly focus integrates gerontology education frameworks with practical intergenerational connection models to address societal aging challenges.

Dr. June chairs the Connecticut Health Living Collective Advisory Board while spearheading statewide community initiatives through partnerships with age-focused organizations. Her professional engagement includes sustained leadership roles in the Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education, Gerontological Society of America, and Society for Clinical Geropsychology, where she shapes gerontology education standards and clinical practice guidelines.
