Andrea Glaws is an Assistant Professor at Colorado State University, specializing in literacy studies and teacher education. Her work focuses on equity-centered literacy instruction in K-12 classrooms and fostering cohesion between university coursework and field placements in teacher education programs. She holds a Ph.D. in Literacy Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder, an M.Ed. from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Dr. Glaws' research explores how literacy can disrupt systemic inequities, challenge biases, and uplift student identities through critical pedagogy. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes humanizing relationships, inclusive environments, and student-centered learning.
