Andrea Gargano

Dr. Andrea Gargano is a Visiting Fellow in the Faculty of Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Amsterdam Institute for Molecules and Materials (AIMMS). His research focuses on advanced separation techniques, particularly chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry, applied to biopharmaceuticals, polymers, and environmental contaminants. He holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Vienna (2013), where he developed novel selectors for liquid chromatography. Key contributions include the development of modular flow platforms for chemical ligation and multimethod analytical systems for monoclonal antibody characterization.
