Andrea Frank is a Lecturer in the Art, Culture, and Technology Program at the School of Architecture and Planning, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her work bridges art, environmental studies, and systemic analysis, focusing on identity, collective responsibility, and global challenges like climate change and resource depletion. She employs System Dynamics (SD) methodologies to critique societal paradigms and explore future sustainability frameworks.
Frank studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and earned her MFA from Parsons School of Design, NYC, complemented by the Whitney Independent Study Program. She was a founding member of the Department for Public Appearances (1995–2000), addressing public sphere issues through collaborative art.
