Wolfgang Mayer is a Professor for Performative Practice at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, teaching collaborative artistic processes. He co-founded the art group Discoteca Flaming Star (DFS) in 1998 with Cristina Gómez Barrio, focusing on performative works that challenge memory and institutional frameworks.
