Andrea De Petris

Andrea De Petris is a Researcher in Constitutional Law at Giustino Fortunato University in Benevento and Scientific Director of the European Policy Centre (Cep) Italy. He previously served as an Assistant Professor in Comparative Public Law at LUISS – G. Carli University's Faculty of Law (2008–2014). He holds a PhD in 'Theory of the State and Comparative Political Institutions' from Sapienza University of Rome (2002) and a Political Science degree from the same institution (1996).

His research focuses on public and comparative law, electoral systems, political participation, immigration regulation, and contemporary political history. He has held significant grants and fellowships, including a Fulbright Research Fellowship (2002) and multiple DAAD grants, notably as a DAAD evaluator since 2015. He has also participated in Erasmus exchange programs in Germany (e.g., Munich, Hildesheim).

De Petris is affiliated with academic associations such as the DAAD Italia Alumni Association Board, the 'Law and Multicultural Society' Academy, and the Association of Comparative and European Public Law. His teaching includes courses on Italian law at Heinrich-Heine University (Düsseldorf) and cultural studies at the International University of Rome.
