Andrea Curtis is a Research Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at Monash University, affiliated with the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. Her work focuses on chronic disease, aging, and preventive medicine, with significant contributions to large-scale clinical trials such as ASPREE and STAREE.
Her research interests include cardiovascular disease prevention, diabetes, clinical prioritization for elective surgery, and public health policy. She has extensively studied the impact of statins and aspirin on aging populations, particularly in preventing disability and mortality in older adults.
Recent publications highlight trends in geriatric cardiology, metabolic disease, and neurodegeneration, with a strong emphasis on longitudinal data analysis, randomized controlled trials, and population health outcomes. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
