Andrea Cook is an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington and a Senior Investigator in the Biostatistics Unit at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (GHRI). Her research focuses on causal inference, clinical trials, environmental and spatial statistics, and longitudinal data analysis. She holds a PhD and MS in Biostatistics from Harvard University and a BS in Applied and Computational Mathematical Sciences from the University of Washington.

Research Interests: Dr. Cook’s work spans spatial cluster detection methods, group sequential monitoring in post-marketing surveillance, and applications in vaccine and drug safety. She leads seven studies at GHRI, including clinical trials in alternative medicine and cardiovascular care, and observational studies on obesity-environment interactions and vaccine safety monitoring.
