Andrea Acosta is an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Pitzer College since 2023. She holds a Ph.D. from UCLA and a BA from Stanford University.
Her research focuses on digital media's intersection with race and power, particularly through South Korean popular culture (K-pop) and analyses of algorithmic technology. She examines how these media spaces shape minoritarian identities and global communities.
