Andre Gammage

Hon. Andre Gammage is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Notre Dame's Notre Dame Law School, located in Eck Hall of Law. He holds a J.D. from Valparaiso Law School (1988) and a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from Valparaiso University. Currently, he presides over civil and criminal matters in the St. Joseph County Circuit Court while maintaining active roles in legal education and community leadership.

His professional experience includes 20+ years in private practice as managing partner at The Law Offices of Berger & Gammage, focusing on criminal defense and personal injury. He has served as Administrative Law Judge for South Bend Code Enforcement, staff attorney for the St. Joseph County Public Defender’s Office, and deputy prosecutor. Judicial education roles include faculty membership at the National Judicial College on Domestic Violence and participation in Indiana's Judicial Education Committee and Domestic Relations Committee.

Gammage’s community involvement spans leadership positions with the Urban League of St. Joseph County (chairman/CEO), South Bend Redevelopment Authority (vice president), and Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church (finance committee). He co-founded Leaders and Positive Role Models and contributed to initiatives like Emerging Leaders, Inc. and the Indiana Student Assistance Commission.
