Dr. Andras Kovacs serves as Scientific staff at the Physics of Nanoscale Systems (ER-C-1) within the Ernst Ruska Center for Electron Microscopy and Spectroscopy at Forschungszentrum Jülich. His work is based in Building 05.2, Room 3084 at the research center located in Jülich, Germany.
Dr. Kovacs specializes in magnetism and magnetic materials research with a focus on advanced electron microscopy techniques. His work involves correlative structural, compositional and magnetic characterization of nanostructures, quantitative measurements of magnetic properties using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and in situ TEM applications. He also has expertise in specimen preparation for TEM analysis, which is critical for high-resolution imaging of magnetic materials.
As part of the Ernst Ruska Center, Dr. Kovacs works within one of Europe's leading facilities for electron microscopy and spectroscopy, contributing to cutting-edge research in nanoscale physics. His work supports the center's mission to advance understanding of materials at atomic and nanometer scales through state-of-the-art microscopy techniques.
